Winter Training Program
Overview
The Winter Training Program is designed for players who want to spend winter on the futsal court! Training sessions are focused on strengthening the individual player. Players will become stronger soccer players and learn the sport of futsal, developing skills that translate to both sports.
For U8-U17 players, participating in the Winter Training Program includes being able to play on Forest Futsal teams in the Birmingham Winter Futsal League.
Ages
Our Winter Training Program provides futsal training and playing opportunities for players ages 4-16 years old.
Schedule
The Winter Training Program is a 2-month player development program that takes place in December and January. Players sign up for individual training group sessions.

Birmingham Winter Futsal League
U8-U17 players enrolled in the Winter Training Program are also able to participate on Forest Futsal teams in the Birmingham Winter Futsal League.
The Birmingham Winter Futsal League is a U.S. Futsal sanctioned event, helping to ensure a safe and fun experience for players. The league will run on weekends, with play dates running 12/06/2025 - 01/25/2026.
Winter Training Program players who would like to play in the league on a Forest Futsal team will need a black Forest Futsal jersey and to pay the $15 U.S. Futsal annual player registration fee. More details about participating in the league will be provided after players register for the Winter Training Program.

The Winter Training Program curriculum is designed to deliver the following player development outcomes:
